Promote development of public cause and building of harmonious society in Shaanxi Province and Western China.

Shaanxi Western Development Foundation is an officially registered NGO. Our goals include improving capacity building in NGOs, promoting sustainable development of public welfare. Currently, we have projects running under several aspects as below:

- Green Shaanxi Program
- Volunteer training center for west public welfare
- Public welfare partner program
- Green schools.

Green Map is a good project easily leading to practical activities. Many of our existing programs can be related to Green Map. We believe this approach can greatly enhance the methods and publicity in our projects. It helps people to be able to participate and experience real activities other than abstract environment ideologies.

We are going to start the pilot projects in communities and schools. Community educational organizations will work together with local schools to start an experimental project. After gaining enough experience and skills, we will try to expand the Green Map to other places in Shaanxi province. We are aiming to develop various kinds of Green Map themes and to make it a special souvenir for tourists in Xi’an.
