We have begun our endeavor of green-mapping our small city of Denton, TX, by first creating a pilot map of the quaint and lively downtown area with its historic courthouse, its inviting lawn, and array of shops and businesses. Creating a pilot map will guide us through the process of bringing quality and awareness to the Denton Green Map Project.

The pilot map focuses on businesses, such as, the locally owned health food store and artists coop, promoting green living and community enhancement. Our decided date of completion for the pilot map is November 2007. The rest of the DGMP is a constantly evolving project, so stop by regularly for progress updates.

In addition to the pilot map a compilation of community organizations and events, accessible in an online database, will soon be made available through the DGMP.
