We developed a Green Map for Metro Manila utilizing the globally designed green site Icons (over 120 Icons) to identify various sites of environmental, natural, cultural, historic, and outdoor interests, as well as sites of environmental/ cultural concern.

Developing the Green Map for Metro Manila is important because it is composed of 12 cities and five (5) municipalities occupying an area of 636 square kilometers. It has a current population of over 10 million people and is one of the 15 most populous/dense urban areas in the world. By highlighting the green areas of Metro Manila, we hope to generate some personal involvement in urban renewal.
