Declaración de Intención

The Syracuse Center of Excellence in Environmental and Energy Systems (syracusecoe.org) is excited to develop community partnerships that will help in the creation of a Green Map for the City of Syracuse and possibly the entire surrounding region. Syracuse and the Central Upstate Region of New York are currently blossoming with green initiatives, collaborations, and leaders. Creating a Green Map of the region will give the community an opportunity to recognize and embrace local, sustainable resources and enable our organization to visually recognize areas of possible collaborations as well as discern regional challenges.

This map is being created concurrently with an online Syracuse Green Guide (SGG) the SGG will give residents and visitors access to green educational resources and additional information pertaining to local, green products and services.

The Syracuse Center of Excellence is very much interested in having this map-making process open to public participation and feedback. Anyone who is interested in contributing to the evolving process of creating a greener Central New York should email greenmap@syracusecoe.org for more information.
