Just wanted to pass along some information on the "My Solution Is..." campaign - an intiative spearheaded by the Houston-Galveston Area Council with the goal of educating residents on and improving Houston's air quality. Commuters visit the site (www.mysolutionis.com) and promise to participate in the solution that best suits their needs – options range from carpooling, to riding the bus, bundling trips or even two-wheeling it on bikes or motorcycles. In return, the East Harris County Manufacturers Association will donate one dollar for every person (up to the first 10,000) who commits to try a commute alternative during the month of August in order to support clean air initiatives. The money will be used for clean air education and awareness programs geared toward Houston-Galveston area residents.

All participants will receive a gift coupon for a free Jamba Juice smoothie and the chance to purchase discounted Houston Dynamo tickets. Everyone who makes a pledge also will be entered into a drawing at the end of the month for a $1,000 gas card.
