The Birds of Peru group undertook the creation of the first Peruvian Green Map in the Wacapay area of the Cusco state. Biologist Berioska Quispe Estrada was leading the effort, and involved students in producing Green Maps in Spanish and English. Migratory birds and the anthropic influence, along with natural and cultural resources, was the project's focus. Although this project was not completed, the group is now working on the Cusco Green Map.
