About this Mapmaker

Stellenbosch Rotary Club: Serving the Stellenbosch community since 1937.
Rotary is an organisation of business and professional leaders united world-wide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.

Statement of Purpose

Stellenbosch has experienced a significant increase in environmental activities, services, products and opportunities over the past couple of years. The Greenmap will aim to provide an online environmental resource for residents, businesses, students and visitors to the Greater Stellenbosch (which includes Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, numerous smaller villages and the surrounding agricultural area).
Greater Stellenbosch has a population of approximately 200,000 (which includes 25,000 students at the University of Stellenbosch).
