The green map forms part of our strategy to 1)promote sustainability 2)document how sustainable/green we are in Waterford 3) Show that there is room for improvement 4)Instill that sustainability is part of our culture within Waterford City. We currently represent 300 community & voluntary groups. We also facilitate volunteers to communicate issues to a local government policy level. We offer a platform for groups to consult on various issues. We have a strong Environmental focus and have been responsible for a number of Environmental projects/initiatives

We have an up to date database of over 300 voluntary & Community groups. We worked with primary & secondary schools on consultation for this project and consulted with senior citizen groups. We are linking in with a group that are currently creating a guide book to sustainability in Waterford city.
