Map Local!

Launched the NPT Green Map

It has been 10 weeks since we joined Green Map and so far the experience of it has been great. Many thanks to the organisation who has provided such a good level of support.

The Green Map is a brilliant tool, we have had 3 map makers add 105 sites in just 1 week -very good going ready for our launch which happened on Tuesday http://www.neath-porttalbot.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=2482&pr_id=3452.

I work for the NPT Environment Forum and we are partnered with the Local Authority - we do lots of local environment projects and I just happened upon this map when I was looking for a company to design one for us. Thanks to Swansea Green Map too for all their help.

We are hoping that this will be just the tool we need to get local residents, businesses and visitors to enjoy local activities and local produce - Neath Port Talbot is heavily industrialised and sits on the M4 motorway in SW Wales and sometimes its hard to see past that to the beautiful countryside that exists beyond its facade.

Next step is to add many more sites and get more people involved in adding sites - still so much to discover!

Working Together for a Greener NPT

this is nice

It's nice to know that you have adopted a new technology. It will really help the people in your community, especially the tourist which doesn't know for sure how to get from one place to another. I see that more and more are using this kind of stuff. Great stuff!

I also fulfills the teaching

I also fulfills the teaching credential and MCP requirements of becoming a "Microsoft Certified Trainer" [MCT]. Indeed, in November, 2008; all current MMI's and MCAS:I's were invited by Microsoft to apply for the MCT - for free. The fee, normally several hundred dollars, was waived until the next April for those instructors approved for the MCT.70-297 | 70-431 | 70-432 | 70-433 | 70-448 | 70-450 | 70-453 | 70-513 | 70-515 | 70-528 | 70-536
